Finding titles for posts is getting harder. :P

I just love this expression. So cheeky.

Here he is on the trampoline in the back yard.

His favorite pastime (besides eating.) He loves books and has an incredible attention span with them. He especially likes lift-the-flap and popup books.

His love for Kiddie Viddies is diminishing these days. I guess it's a good thing.

Thank God we got a bunch of books from Paula, they're a lifesaver.

The Explanation

So, let's see, it's been 25 days since I last posted. Guilty as charged. You know, I realized that a lot of people's posts start with an apology for not posting these days. I refuse to fall in that category. It's my blog and I'll post when and if I feel like it, and if you don't like it you can go check out one of the other 25 million blogs.

Ok, I'll be nice. Please keep visiting my blog.

One of the main reasons I haven't blogged is because for the last 2 weeks I've been a semi-invalid. Basically what happened is that I was working with a grinder (for a pic click here) and the disc shattered and a piece flew into my arm, cutting through 2 muscles to the bone, procuring me 30 stitches. It's already better and the wound is healed. I just need to do some therapy to get the muscle back in shape. No, I will not post pictures.

Anyway, on to everything else. As I told you a couple posts ago, I've been building a loft with the famous Doehler and it's almost finished. Here are a couple pics of a crucial moment (and the most taxing physically.) We had to lift a 28 foot piece of wood weighing about 250 pounds, 1o feet high.

We tied ratchets to it and slowly lifted it.

After we put the beam up and put in the drywall studs and floor joyces. Ready for drywalling and laying the floor.

And here are some pics of pooch I took on the beach the other day.

His new hobby: Sand eating. He dips his finger into the sand as if it was a jar of honey and then sticks it in his mouth, makes a face the clearly shows he dislikes it, and then does it again.

This is the " I just ate a mouthful of sand and dislike it" face.

Some happiness.

Looking like a read taco boy.

This is a pic I thought turned out kinda nice.

Some PTL

When you wake up at 4 am after a night of "family cuddles" which entail being kicked in the ribs for hours by a teething 1-year-old, PTL for Monsters.

When you have a border crossing at 5 am at the busiest border in the world, where the average crossing takes and hour and a half, PTL for Monsters.

When you have to pack your vehicle 3 times, each time having to make more stuff fit, as impossible as it may seem, until you've used every usable square inch and you're driving with 2 ice-cream tubs Under your arm cuz they don't fit elsewhere (named something like "Triple Marshmallow Chocolate Fudge Pecan-Pie Cookie Dough") , PTL for Monsters.

When you have to drive for 2 more hours and then unpack all the stuff you packed, PTL for Monsters.

Well, I guess it's just an all-around PTL for Monsters.

Macs... tsk tsk

From Yahoo! news:

MacBook Air stumps TSA agents, owner misses flight

The suspiciously thin, port-free laptop sends airport security into a tizzy, until cooler heads prevail. Maybe it's time for some tech briefings at the TSA, no?On his blog, programmer Michael Nygard (by way of the Unofficial Apple Weblog) writes that during a recent trip through the airport, his solid-state MacBook Air stopped TSA agents—puzzled by its lack of rear-facing ports or a standard hard drive—in their tracks.

Nygard said the agents put him and his suspicious "device" in a holding cubicle as security staffers huddled nearby, looking at X-ray printouts of the sinister-looking Air and scratching their heads.

A younger TSA agent—who, apparently, was aware of Apple's newest laptop—tried explaining to the group that the Air uses solid-state memory in place of a traditional hard drive. The senior staffer, however, was still reluctant to let it go: "New products on the market? They haven't been TSA approved. Probably shouldn't be permitted," Nygard writes.

Finally, after booting up the Air and running a program, the agents let Nygard go, he said—but only after he'd missed his flight.

I've been hearing stories like these all too often, which leads to the question: how exactly are TSA agents being trained, anyway? How about, I dunno, some regular briefings on the latest gadgets that might be making their way through security checkpoints? And while TSA agents are wasting time fussing with laptops, undercover investigators with bomb parts in their bags have been sailing though security checkpoints.

Anyone else out there get stopped by airport security because of a "suspicious" gadget in their luggage? Feel free to vent right here.

Random is good

I know, I haven't been updating pics of pooch enough to satisfy the ever growing demand, but here are some for your viewing pleasure. I think I'm gonna start paying Angel to post for me since she's so good (random = good) and faithful at it.

Anyway, I've been busy. I'm building a loft with the world-renowned Doehler and it's killing me. It's been a long time since I did this amount of manual labor. I shall post pics of the progress soon. Meanwhile here are some of Pooch's latest.

"Brushing his teeth"... Well, that's what mommy calls it. I call it "sucking on toothpaste."

Intently watching Kiddie Viddies with Grandpa. He loves Kiddie Viddies. He even has his favorite Kiddie Viddie star (you know who you are.)

Claire wanted me to post this one. Don't ask me why. I guess he just looks so irresistibly cute and munchy.

I love Tory

While cleaning out my "Junk" folder (I actually have a folder named like that on my HD, which I dump all sorts of random stuff in) I found this priceless piece.

I wanted to post this earlier, but I forgot. The story behind this priceless pic (taken by Sam P.) is that Tory was gone for an entire week during January and returned late at night. When she showed up the morning after, Sam was there to document our joy.

This is how much I love Tory.

We have a Picasso among us

A scan on Julian's first drawing ever. Finger paint of course.
